Tychinski/Strayline Award
The Tychinski/Strayline Award was established in 1998 in memory of 3 active members of the Yates County Democratic Committee : Felix Tychinski, and Charmaine & Jeff (her son) Strayline. Felix was a long time very active member who sold more raffle tickets than anyone by far. Charmaine and Jeff were long time members who had served as officers for some time. Charmaine made a quilt for the Democratic Committee every year which was raffled as a fundraiser.

At the Grand Opening of the Democratic Headquarters, Yates County Democratic Committee Chairperson Barbara Steinwachs was also given the newly created Leadership Award in memory of Democratic Activists Gary Hansen, Clara Swank Brodsky and Tom Disbrow.
