United States Senate

Senator Charles SchumerSenator Charles Schumer
For the past two and a half decades, Chuck Schumer has been a leader on national issues and a tireless fighter for New York. He graduated from Harvard Law School and served as a representative from Queens in the New York State Assembly for six years before being elected to the US Congress in 1980. Schumer was elected to the Senate in 1998 and serves as a member of the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; the Judiciary Committee; the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and the Rules Committee. He is also a Ranking Member of the Administrative Oversight and the Courts Subcommittee and the Economic Policy Subcommittee.

Senator Clinton has proven to be a strong advocate for New York, working in a bipartisan way to pass legislation, secure millions in appropriations and draw attention to issues that matter to people throughout New York State. Senator Clinton works hard to strengthen our national security and homeland security while promoting fiscally responsible measures that will get our economy back on the road to recovery. She serves on the Senate Committees for Environment and Public Works; Health, Education, Labor and Pensions; and is the first New York Senator to serve on the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Eliot Spitzer was inaugurated as New York’s 54th Governor on January 1, 2007. In his inaugural address, Governor Spitzer said: “Every policy, every action and every decision we make in this administration will further two overarching objectives: We must transform our government so that it is as ethical and wise as all of New York, and we must rebuild our economy so that it is ready to compete on the global stage in the next century.”

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo
Andrew Cuomo was elected the 64th Attorney General of New York State on November 7, 2006. As Attorney General, Cuomo is the highest ranking law enforcement officer for the State, responsible for representing New York and its residents in legal matters.

Thomas P. DiNapoli was sworn on February 7, 2007 as the 54th Comptroller of the State of New York. DiNapoli was first elected to the New York State Assembly in 1986, representing the 16th Assembly District in northwestern Nassau County
